Strong Company Wide Safety Awareness and Culture
Our internal EHS (environment, health and safety) practices and policies are aimed at preventing harm to our drivers and other road users; damage to the environment and asset and damage to our shipments.
Our transport management practices are developed in compliance with The European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR).
TransChem’s EHS team comprise of personnel from its Security, Safety, Human Resources, Vehicle Maintenance and Journey Management teams who ensure safety by different initiatives.
Some of our safety practices include:
Prohibition of night driving except under strict supervision
Enforcing a maximum speed limit is 55 km/h.
Carrying out planned preventive maintenance on our assets monthly to ensure maximum uptime.
Organizing annual safety awareness day geared towards reinforcing safety as a culture within the entire organisation.
HAZMAT training for all our employees including annual refresher training
